Roller Top Scales vs Flat Top Scales

My employer is in the process of implementing the Automated UPS system in my warehouse. We have come down to choosing between a flat top scale or a roller top scale. Should we purchase one over the other for any other reason? Also, the brand of the scale will be Fairbanks. Any suggestions on if this maker is a good one to go with. Thanks

It depends on your application. Roller tops are for when you integrate the scale into your line - if you are "dropping" boxes onto a scale then DEFINITELY DON'T GET THE ROLLER TOP, it will cause the boxes to roll off and onto the floor!
